The North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Homoeopathy (NEIAH), Mawdiangdiang, Shillong, Meghalaya is an autonomous institute established under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India with following aims and objectives -
- To provide undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and post-doctoral teaching, research facilities and quality patient care services under the Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic systems of medicine;
- To conduct experiment and develop patterns of teaching in undergraduate and post graduate education in all branches of the Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic systems of medicine;
- To conduct research on various aspects of Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic systems of medicine;
- To provide medical care through Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic systems of medicine to the suffering humanity;
- To conduct refresher courses for Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic systems of medicine;
- To develop, promote and propagate the science and art of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy as the case may be.
Presently the institute has an Ayurvedic and a Homoeopathic college with the admission capacity of 63 students for each BAMS and BHMS Courses along with a full-fledged 100 bed Ayurvedic hospital and a 50 bed Homoeopathic hospital. (details can be accessed at www.neiah.nic.in)
AYUHOM is an official publication of North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Homoeopathy (NEIAH), Shillong, Meghalaya-793018, an autonomous institute under Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India (Website: http://www.ayuhom.com ). AYUHOM is an open-access, Peer Reviewed Bi-annual Research Journal of Ayurveda & Homoeopathy published in print and online form since 2011 and 2020 respectively and is launched as a platform to commission scientific communications among students, practitioners, researchers, academicians and policy makers in the field of Ayurveda, Homoeopathy and Yoga. The aim of the AYUHOM journal is to update/ highlight the latest developments in the field of Ayurveda, Homoeopathy Traditional Medicine and Yoga to the professionals of Health Care Systems. The journal will promote value based scientific views and researches of Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Traditional Medicine and Yoga and also to provide novel solutions based upon the wisdom of respective field. This journal publishes original research work, reviews, short communications, case report, case series, survey studies, drug research and experimental studies. Article with trendsetting interest and evidenced-based research will be given utmost priority. In addition, the Journal does not charge for submission, processing, and publication of the manuscript.

Digital Archiving
Wolters Kluwer Medknow provides for long-term digital preservation through two primary partnerships, Portico and CLOCKSS.
Portico is a leading digital preservation service worldwide. The content is preserved as an archival version and is not publically accessible via Portico, but is provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website.
CLOCKSS will enable any library to maintain their own archive of content from Wolters Kluwer Medknow and other publishers, with minimal technical effort and using cheaply available hardware.
Ahead of Print policy
Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Wolters Kluwer Medknow has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.
Advertisements
While advertisements are crucial to this journal to be able to keep all content free for everyone, ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content:
- "Pop-up" and "banner" ads appear on a random, rotating basis. The advertiser has no control or input over the pages where their ads appear.
- The Editorial Board has full and final approval over the content of all advertisements.
- Advertisers will never be shown any manuscripts or other content prior to publication.
